FAQ
Who is eligible for the LEAF OS Trade-Up Program?
The program is exclusively for existing or Stratodesk customers with 100 or more active device licenses. You'll need to provide proof of license status to qualify.
What’s the $30 credit offer?
You can receive a $30 credit per eligible device when upgrading to RX540 or RX580 hardware — or choose to receive 2 free years of AMP instead.
Which devices are eligible for trade-in incentives?
Eligible models include:
RX420(HDX), RX440(HDX)
RX420(IGEL), RX440(IGEL)
RX-HDX, RX-HDX+
These devices can be repurposed or upgraded as part of the program.
Is the 2025 license really free? What happens next year?
Yes — if you qualify, you’ll receive free LEAF OS licenses valid through December 31, 2025.
An internet connection is required. Optional support plans (AMP) are sold separately. Next year you’ll be able to choose between a perpetual license or an affordable annual renewal, depending on your needs — no forced multi-year subscriptions.
Can I still buy RX420(HDX) or RX440(HDX) devices?
Yes — but only until September 30, 2025 or existing inventory is sold. Once they're gone, they're gone! These models will no longer be manufactured with Stratodesk NoTouch OS.
Do you provide endpoint management software too?
Yes — Our PMC Endpoint Manager is a free, full-featured software suite that lets you easily manage both NComputing thin clients and repurposed PCs/laptops running LEAF OS.
We also support zero-touch onboarding to simplify large-scale deployments.
It's a very good platform to learn and work from, even at home. The feedback from users has been very positive, and the implementation of LEAF OS was extremely fast and trouble-free.

Several months into our LEAF OS deployment and we still haven't received a single support call–it just works. For organizations with a reliable VDI infrastructure, LEAF OS is a no-brainer.

The switch from desktop computers to a thin-client architecture is particularly worthwhile for administrations. We no longer have an oversized ‘PC power plant’ under every desk. The new architecture eliminates a lot of waiting time for administrative staff, who can now focus on their actual work right away.

The teachers now have more time for actual teaching. We save on electricity and maintenance, and we can add new workstations much more easily when necessary. The partnership has always been very trusting, and the support is great at NComputing–but above all, the whole concept is convincing in practice. These solutions help us save significant resources and make IT at our schools more secure.

Getting additional mileage out of our existing equipment is key. While we’ve had some recent acquisitions, most of our computers are 3 to 5 years old. We need to extend their usefulness to 7 years or more and eventually adopt Windows 11. That’s what intrigued us about NComputing’s LEAF OS repurposing software.

Adopting virtualization technology opens up a realm of limitless possibilities for businesses. It’s not just about running servers on a screen; it’s about unleashing efficiency, flexibility, and innovation. We couldn’t be happier with NComputing’s devices, software, and support team. The transition has been seamless.
